www.BLUEANDGOLD.com DECEMBER 2017 37 FOOTBALL RECRUITING ROUNDUP RECRUITING NOTES • Atlanta Hapeville Charter 2018 defensive end Kingsley Enagabare did not make his scheduled visit to Notre Dame for the Navy game Nov. 18. Enagbare — a three-star prospect, Rivals' No. 27 strongside defensive end nationally and a South Carolina commit — was offered by the Irish Oct. 6 and at least entertained the notion of a trip to South Bend, but did not show up for his scheduled visit. Notre Dame holds a commitment from one defensive end in 2018, Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep product Justin Ademilola, and is scheduled to host four-star defensive end Jayson Oweh on an of- ficial visit Dec. 8-10 for The Echoes (Notre Dame's annual awards banquet). Rivals lists Oweh as the No. 9 strongside defensive end and No. 179 overall player in the country. • Notre Dame linebacker commit Matthew "Bo" Bauer of Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep is one of five high school linebackers on the list of finalists for the High School Butkus Award, given annually to the nation's top prep linebacker. Other finalists include USC commit and Notre Dame target Bo Cal- vert of Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian, Irish target Solomon Tuliaupupu of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, Palaie Gaotete of Las Vegas Bishop Gorman and Ohio State commit Teradja Mitchell of Virginia Beach (Va.) Orange County four-star Payton Wilson, the No. 7 inside linebacker in the class and No. 133 overall player in the nation according to Rivals, admitted that the Notre Dame visit gave him a lot to think about and decommitted from North Carolina shortly after the trip Wilson has a strong relationship with defensive coordinator Mike Elko and linebackers coach Clark Lea, and has known the duo since their time at Wake Forest. In the coming weeks, he will be sitting down with his parents to discuss his situation and work toward a final decision. — Corey Bodden and David McKinney Commitment Updates Games played Nov. 17-18 unless otherwise noted • DL Jayson Ademilola: Jersey City (N.J.)
