The NHL KYLE CONNOR CARRIES WINNIPEG THROUGH THE PLAYOFFS Former U-M standout and current Winnipeg Jets left wing Kyle Connor turned in an incredible second-round playoff performance against the Nashville Predators April 27-May 10. The 21-year-old racked up six points (two goals and four assists), a plus-4 rating and 18 shots on goal during the seven-game series. Connor 's heroics helped the Jets take down Nashville 4-3 in the series to advance to the Western Confer- ence Finals against the Vegas Golden Knights. Ryan LaMarre • MLB Though he was sent to the minors May 10 by the Minnesota Twins, LaMarre made the most of his stint with the big league club in early May. He hit .273 with a .333 on-base percentage in seven games. Jacob Trouba • NHL He helped lead the Winnipeg Jets to two playoff series wins against Minnesota and Nashville, respectively, racking up 15 shots on goal in five games against the former, and 19 shots on goal in seven contests against the latter.
