The Wolverines not only reached 17-1 with a confidence-saturated road win at Minnesota, they're ready for a serious stretch of dominance. For the moment, they demonstrated that a first-half meltdown in Columbus — leading to their only loss — involved young players absorbing their first Big Ten fist to the jaw (not to mention Aaron Craft's hands to every other moving part). The response — a signature victory at Williams Arena against Minnesota, one of the Big Ten's most rugged, athletic teams. "Before the game, I thought to myself, if Michigan wins this game, they have every ingredient to be a Final Four team," noted former Wolverine and ESPN analyst Tim McCormick. "They faced huge adversity from the standpoint of an Ohio State loss, a crowd that is going to be as loud as any of them have ever heard, against a team that is physical and mature and tough. "I thought one of the keys was, Michigan relies on freshmen a great deal, and Trey Burke is still young. I just thought they would get physically intimidated.
