Form A Formidable Backcourt Combo

ome scoffed at the notion that
Tim Hardaway Jr. could transition into Michigan's backcourt this season. More than
a few schools passed on going
hard after Trey Burke in
recruiting.
Those positions
have been reconsidered like
a bridge jumper
realizing gravity is serious
business roughly
five seconds into the
flight. These days, more than a few
are paying attention to Burke, the
versatile sophomore point guard,
and Hardaway, the smooth junior
shooting guard.
In fact, there are those who pose
the question, without a clear answer:
Is there a better combination in college basketball?
Burke was U-M's leading scorer during the
team's 17-1 start to the season, averaging
18.0 points per game while also dishing out
a Big Ten-best 7.2 assists per contest.
