football as a Michigan quarterback, he dropped it. Then
he scooped it up, dodged
West ern Michigan Broncos like they
were newborn colts and sprinted
away 43 yards for a touchdown.
Thus began one of the most incredible careers ever by a Michigan
football player. The trip-up and triumph embodied in that single play
unfolded in dramatic fashion over
the next four years for Denard Robinson, the Deerfield Beach, Fla., speedster who became the talk of college
football.
