  inside michigan athletics   Getting To Know Freshman Point Guard Spike Albrecht Freshman point guard Spike Albrecht has been a pleasant surprise this season, providing muchneeded depth for the Maize and Blue men's basketball team. Albrecht is averaging 7.6 minutes per game through Jan. 22, and giving sophomore Trey Burke the opportunity to rest up on the bench for stretches. Nickname: "'Spike' is obviously the most prominent one, but Coach Beilein likes to call me 'The Baby-Faced Assassin.' I guess I look kind of young." Favorite Class At U-M: "Right now, the four other freshmen and I are in a class called 'The Culture Of Basketball.' It's a lot of fun. We are learning about the evolution of basketball, the innovations, where it began and how it has transformed into what it is now." Favorite Movie: "I'm a big comedy guy. 'Tommy Boy' is a good one. I like the throwback movies, 'Home Alone,' stuff like that." Favorite TV Show: "Nik Stauskas and I watch a lot of 'Family Guy' together. The dad, Peter, is really funny." Albrecht's favorite athlete is Steve Nash, but Favorite Ann Arbor Restau- his role models are his father and grandfather. photo by lon horwedel rant: "The Chop House is obviously a good one, but I'm not going to make it there too often. I really like Mongolian Barbeque. It reminds me of a restaurant back home." Best Meal He Can Make For Himself: "I don't really make many meals by myself, living in the dorms. Back home, I can make a good stuffed cabbage.
