Michigan's Five Most Talented Teams Of The Last 30 Years 1988-89 — The 1989 national champs finished No. 10 in the final AP poll before making their run to the title behind team captain and MVP forward Glen Rice's 25.6 points per game. Point guard Rumeal Robinson, centers Loy Vaught and Mark Hughes, forward Terry Mills, guards Sean Higgins and Demetrius Calip all spent at least some time in the NBA, with Rice, Vaught and Mills all enjoying extended careers. 1992-93 — The Fab Five and Co. finished third in the final AP poll before embarking on a second straight run to the NCAA Finals, where they fell to North Carolina. Center Chris Webber (19.2 points per game), guard Jalen Rose (15.4) and forward Juwan Howard (14.6) were all early entries and firstround NBA draft picks, while guard Jimmy King and back-up center Eric Riley also spent time in the league.
