jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead on two one-yard touchdown plunges from redshirt junior running back Fitz Toussaint. And then Taylor opened the floodgates. On the ensuing drive, Purdue quarterback Caleb TerBush passed out to the flats but overshot his man. Taylor was in the perfect position to snag the overthrown ball. He intercepted it with a lot of green space ahead of him, and 63 yards later he celebrated the Wolverines' first defensive score of the season. Best Sack Frank Clark At Ohio State There weren't too many to choose from for this category. Michigan tallied just 22 total sacks on the season (1.7 per game), which ranked 77th nationally. But sophomore defensive end Frank Clark made a highlight-reel play in Columbus. Rushing off the edge, Clark was untouched by the Ohio State offensive line — and he took full advantage of the free shot on Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller. Biggest Kick Brendan Gibbons Vs. Michigan State With one swift kick from Gibbons — a 38-yarder with two seconds remaining in the game — the Wolverines finally toppled Michigan State, after four consecutive disheartening losses. After the game, Gibbons was asked his thoughts on Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio's decision to ice him with a timeout. Timeout or no, Gibbons wasn't going to let his team down by missing that kick. Gibbons finished the year ranked seventh nationally in field goals, hitting 16 of 18 attempts on the season, but the others paled in comparison to the pressure and drama of his game winner against the hated in-state rival. Best Single-Game Performance Denard Robinson Vs. Air Force In the Wolverines' win over Air Force in the second game of the year, the offense amassed 422 total yards.
