136 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING 9. MITCHELL MAYES, OL Leesville Road High Mayes moves well on his feet despite his massive size at 6-5, 315 pounds. While his ranking is more about upside, as a junior he flashed signs of the dominating of- fensive lineman he could po- tentially become. Although he played tackle last fall at Sanderson High (he transferred to city rival Leesville Road in the spring), he is more likely to be a guard in college. Mayes verbally committed to Clemson in March. Rivals.com lists him as a four-star prospect, the No. 7 recruit in the state, and the No. 3 offensive guard and No. 112 over- all player in the nation. 10. MOHAMED KABA, LB Clinton High Kaba is a rangy, 6-3, 205-pound line- backer who displays ath- leticism and good range. He certainly has the frame to add considerably more weight, which will only help his already good physicality on the field. Kaba made a verbal commitment to South Carolina in May. Rivals.com ranks him as a three-star player, the No. 17 prospect in the state and the No. 45 outside linebacker in the land. 11. CAMERON ROSEMAN-SINCLAIR, S Myers Park High Roseman-Sinclair is a good straight-ahead athlete who was timed at a solid 4.6 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the Nike Opening. He's also got an explosive burst (evident in his 36.3- inch vertical) and packs a punch with his 6-0, 195-pound frame. He needs to improve his lateral quickness, especially in cover- age, and did not post a good shuttle time at Nike's combine (4.63 seconds). Roseman-Sinclair may be better off add- ing 20-plus pounds and becoming a line- backer in college, although he already has a bulky frame. He made a very early verbal commitment to UNC in January. Rivals.com rates him as a four-star pros- pect, the No. 4 recruit in the state, and the No. 5 safety and No. 78 overall player in the country. 12. QUENTIN WILLIAMS, DE Mallard Creek High Williams is a pure pass rusher, with im- pressive explosion off the snap. He is not the ideal size of an every-down defensive end Gardner Marsh Gas Equipment Company, Inc. 8209 Brownleigh Drive 2119 Jody Road Raleigh, NC 27617 Florence, SC 29501 Ph: 919 787 8214 Ph: 843 669 3136 Ph: 800 334 9245 Ph: 800 868 8988 Fax: 800 400 2596 Fax: 843 661 5236 Web: www.gardnermarsh.com James A.
