  commitment profile Bryan Mone Will Join Former Teammate At Michigan by Tim Sullivan When Salt Lake City Highland fullback Sione Houma signed with Michigan in the 2012 recruiting class, it was an obvious positive for the Wolverines. The 6-0, 210-pound Houma, an athletic fullback who can also make an impact in the blocking game, played on special teams as a true freshman. Houma's commitment also gave the Wolverines a big boost with his teammate, 2014 defensive lineman Bryan Mone. The first prospect in the 2014 class to earn a Michigan offer followed through on that interest when he pledged to U-M Feb. 12. "Sione was like one of the first people I told before I committed," Mone said. "I was just texting him, and before I committed I said, 'I want to be part of the pack,' and he said, 'You should right now.' I was just thinking about it, and I'm part of the pack now." Michigan's lead for the 6-4, 315-pound Mone grew by leaps and bounds when he visited Ann Arbor for the Wolverines' football victory over Northwestern. At that time, it seemed clear that he would eventually pick Michigan, but it didn't seem like the choice would come immediately. "I thought about committing on that visit," Mone said. "But I really wanted to hold off so that my dad could come see.
