"Right now he's working on systematic development," Bishop Verot head coach Matt Herting said. "He's got a great head-to-head face-up game, and he's working on that fiveon-five. In college, I think you'll see him do more pick and pop. "He's not a finished product right now — there's a progression of things to work on and develop. But he's 16 years old, and a very grounded and well-rounded kid." Doyle was offered by Beilein, Miami's Jim Larranga and Purdue's Matt Painter, to name a few. That he's "only" a Rivals.com three-star recruit is the result of his decision not to play AAU ball over the summers. "The story with Ricky Doyle is how he opted to give up free shoes, scouting service hype, AAU pickup games around the country to — shockingly — work on his game," Herting said. "And look what it has done." Class Of 2014 Prospects See Michigan Both of Michigan's other class of 2014 offerees were on campus March 10 for the Indiana game, while another forward picked up an offer with his visit. Michigan class of 2014 target Devin Booker was back in Ann Arbor, this time with his father, former Missouri standout Melvin Booker. The 6-4 standout out of Moss Point, Miss., is Rivals.com's No. 23 prospect nationally and has gone from little-known recruit to one of the most coveted guards in the country. Booker made trips to North Caro- lina, Duke, Michigan State and Michigan within a several day span, and received an offer from Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski. "It was the night before the game when I met with their coaching staff, and I had a weird feeling an offer was going to come," he recalled. "We spent some time watching their offense, and then Coach K said he felt in his heart Duke would be a good place for me, and whenever I felt the same way to let him know." Booker made it clear when Beilein offered, though, that it was one he coveted, given he'd grown up in Grand Rapids, Mich. There was nothing he witnessed at U-M for the Indiana game he hadn't seen before. "People said that was the craziest atmosphere they'd ever seen, but I thought it was as good when I was at the Ohio State game last year," he said. "I've been to Michigan and Michigan State before. This was for my dad," he added. "They reshowed us everything, talked again about how I'd fit into system, but it was basically towards my dad. He was taking it all in, too." Sitting down with North Carolina head coach Roy Williams during his visit for a game with North Carolina State was a highlight for both Booker and his father. Some Duke writers said his visit to Durham was just as good, if not better, since he received an offer. "I had a great time," Booker said of UNC. "People say that the experience of being at UNC and watching them play NC State was going to be awesome, but to actually be there
