Center: Redshirt sophomore Jack Miller 6-4, 291 pounds Miller, who has beefed up from 280 pounds, is a true center. He had a year on the team to learn under David Molk and spent last year growing more comfortable in the offense. Backup: Redshirt junior Joey Burzynski Right Guard: Redshirt freshman Kyle Kalis 6-5, 297 pounds Originally an Ohio State commit, Kalis flipped for Michigan and became Brady Hoke's first five-star signee. He spent the 2012 season bulking up and working on the practice squad and impressed the coaches in that role. Backup: Redshirt junior Joey Burzynski Right Tackle: Fifth-year senior Michael Schofield 6-7, 303 pounds Schofield is a versatile talent, notching 13 starts at right tackle last year and 10 starts at left guard in 2011. Although Schofield was impressive as a guard, his skill set is more suited to the tackle position. Backup: Fifth-year senior Erik Gunderson Tight End: Sophomore Devin Funchess 6-5, 228 pounds Funchess added an explosive element to the offense last year as a mismatchcreating tight end that could take advantage of slower linebackers and smaller safeties. He led the team with five touchdown catches, finishing the year with 15 total catches for 234 yards (15.6 yards per catch). Backup: Sophomore A.J. Williams Wide Receiver: Senior Drew Dileo 5-10, 177 pounds Dileo has been a reliable role player the last three years, coming up with some clutch performances (four catches for 92 yards against MSU). But he has never caught more than four passes in a game; as a senior, he will need to be a more consistent target.
