NOVEMBER 2019 ■ 105 style. Distance swimming could be an asset on this year's team. Senior Jack McIntyre owns the second fastest time in school his- tory in the 1,650 and was an All-American in the race, like Knowles. This year is also a great opportunity for some other returning swimmers who have had to wait their turns behind some of the Pack's past standouts. "We have a few guys this is a big year for," Holloway said. "When Justin Ress and Jacob Molacek or Ryan Held or guys like that were all there, they were more util- ity guys, depth role guys — and now they got to play a bigger role." That group includes seniors Noah Hens- ley, Tyler Rice and Mark McLaughlin and junior Gil Kiesler. Hensley provided a glimpse of his capability when he earned All-America laurels in the 100 butterfly and reached the A finals of three different indi- vidual events at the ACC Championships. Junior Erge Gezmis also joined the team over the summer after transferring in from Florida, where he qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 100 and 200 butterfly. The wild card this season is an acclaimed recruiting class that SwimSwam.com ranked No. 2 in the country. The Pack signed four of the top-15 swimmers in the 2019 class — Ross Dant (No. 6), Noah Bowers (No. 8), Hunter Tapp (No. 14) and Noah Henderson The Wolfpacker 1-800-421-7751 • PO Box 2331 • Durham, NC 27702 www.TheWolfpackerOnline.com/Store Please add sales tax for delivery to NC (7.5%), IN (7%) or MI (6%) CLEARANCE!
