The NBA Juwan Howard Signed For Remainder Of The Season Former Fab Five standout Juwan Howard will have another shot at an NBA championship ring, again in Miami. The Heat signed him for the rest of the year after initially inking him to two 10-day contracts. The big man even made the starting lineup for one game due to injuries. "We'll see what happens," head coach Erik Spoelstra said when reporters asked if Howard might get into a game. "He has filled the role that we wanted, and he does it as well as anybody. He brings incredible veteran leadership. It is tangible, and it is real. It felt odd not having him around. … He is in with two feet regardless of what his role is." Howard, 40, is the third-oldest player in the NBA behind Knicks forward Kurt Thomas and Clippers forward Grant Hill.
