Under the Dome
"Mr. Theismann, he criticized me a little
bit, which was neat. I think we were coming inside and he asked me, 'What did you
see?' that type of thing and so I told him. He
was like, 'I'm glad you have an explanation.'
Great words of wisdom from him." — Notre
Dame quarterback Everett Golson on his
talk with former Irish quarterback Joe Theismann on the sidelines after the spring game
"I saw fear in his eyes. I would have moved
out of my way, too." — Notre Dame nose
guard Louis Nix on watching linebackers
dodge him during his memorable two-point
conversion run in the fourth quarter of the
Blue-Gold Game
"He runs. He hits. We just have to get him
to run and hit the right people." — Notre
Dame head coach Brian Kelly on senior linebacker Kendall Moore
"We're seeing guys are starting to understand what it takes to be a leader. It means
holding others accountable, and we're starting to see that on a day-to-day basis. It's still
a work in progress for us." — Kelly
"We have a contract. … We expect people
to live up to their obligations as all good
nuns and fathers are supposed to do." —
Arizona State athletics director Steve Patterson on XTRA Sports 910 in Phoenix on Notre
Dame's attempts to get out of a home-andhome series with the Sun Devils in 2014
and 2017
"On a school-by-school basis, we'll work
through those issues. One such discussion
[Arizona State] has gotten some attention,
but there are several of them going on and
they have to work their way out and we're
engaged in that." — Swarbrick
The Shirt
Notre Dame released "The Shirt," its annual game-day
attire, on the eve of this year's Blue-Gold Game. This
2013 version is green and features photos of former
Irish legends such as Raghib "Rocket" Ismail and Tim
Brown. It was designed by students Abbey Dankoff and
Molly Howell.
Fans can purchase the shirt at any of Notre Dame's oncampus retail shops or on UND.com. The Shirt Project,
which started in 1990, has been used to raise money
for student organizations for almost a quarter century.
Last year's shirt sold out for the first time in the past
four seasons.
