When it comes to the first commit‑
ment in a recruiting class, landing a
kicker is not the most exciting start.
However, it can be one of the most im‑
portant positions on the field, and the
Wolverines landed a good one June 24
when Massillon (Ohio) Washington
standout Andrew David pulled the
trigger for the Maize and Blue. The
decision was the culmination of a life‑
long goal for him.
"I did grow up a big Michigan fan,"
David explained. "My dad and I used
to go up to games together when I
was growing up. It did make it eas‑
ier for me to decide, because I grew
up loving Michigan. It's every kid's
dream to play for their favorite team."
