C O M pects in attendance, including offen- sive linemen Peter Jones, who plays at Malvern Prep outside of Philadelphia, and Kevin Heywood of Archbishop Wood in Warminster, Pa. Both are among Penn State's top targets at the position group. Jones, a 6-5, 285-pound prospect with a four-star rating in the On3 Con- sensus, is believed to have both Penn State and Notre Dame among his early favorites. Heywood has family ties, with his sis- ter having enrolled at Penn State this year. The 6-7, 280-pound lineman was a fan of the program growing up and has made it clear that playing for the Nittany Lions has always been a dream. "I talk to Penn State a lot," said Hey- wood, who has not yet received a rating from any of the major recruiting net- works. "The coaches and I have built a great bond." Three other 2024 Pennsylvania pros- pects to know are linebacker Cameron Lindsey of Aliquippa and wide receivers Rico Scott of Harrisburg and Peter Gon- zalez of Pittsburgh. Scott holds a four-star rating and is a member of the On300. Lindsey and Gonzalez are both three-star players but hold no shortage of quality offers. In addition to the 2024 prospects who attended the Lasch Bash, the Nittany Li- ons also welcomed a few 2025 players. Notable attendees included linebacker Dayshaun Burnett of Pittsburgh, defen- sive back Faheem Delane of Olney, Md.; quarterback Malik Washington of Balti- more; and cornerback Omari Gaines of Sparta, N.J. All four players hold offers from Penn State and had visited previously. They're also expected to be among the top- ranked players in the region in the years to come. ■ KJ Jackson of Montgomery, Ala., was making his second visit to Penn State when he attended the Lasch Bash. He's the No. 23 quarterback nationally in the 2024 On3 Consensus.
