Penn State would be more than happy to host the 6-5, 215-pound standout for a visit later this season. Brandon Finney CB | Owings Mills, Md. | McDonogh School It was a bit of a shock when Finney, a four-star defensive back rated by On3 as the top player in Maryland and the No. 70 prospect and No. 9 cornerback nationally, picked Oregon over Penn State this past summer. Everything leading up to the final days of his re- cruitment pointed to the Nittany Li- ons, but the Ducks were able to sway him late. L i k e O l e s h , t h o u g h , t h e 6 -2 , 185-pounder has kept the lines of com- munication open with several schools, including Penn State. With Finney, it doesn't seem like a race to flip him. Penn State has tre- mendous relationships at McDonogh, and the Nittany Lions hold a com- mitment from one of his teammates, three-star receiver Jeff Exinor. You can bet that James Franklin will make it down to Maryland at some point to see both. The buzz on Finney is that it's a re- cruitment that could ramp up late. Penn State isn't necessarily pushing for a visit right now, but the Nittany Lions are merely positioning themselves to be a factor late in the cycle. ■ C L A S S O F 2 0 2 5 C O M M I T M E N T S * NAME POS HT WT RATING** HOME SCHOOL Randy Adirika DL 6-3 280 HHH Miami Miami Central Owen Aliciene OT 6-8 260 HHHH Avon, Conn.
