MAY 2025 ❱ THE WOLVERINE 27 ❱ MICHIGAN FOOTBALL cism and arm strength. Throughout his recruitment, it was clear that the quar- terback was the complete package, and that's lived up to the hype. Fresno State transfer quarterback Mikey Keene has missed a chunk of spring ball, and the Wolverines are expected to, at the mini- mum, evaluate the transfer quarterback market. Adding wide receiver talent will be a key portal focus for Michigan, too. The Wolverines have continued working on their offensive line and will be seeing what level of talent they can add in the portal." The new additions bring the total to 16 transfers added this offseason. In ad- dition to Bauer, Hester and Volker, U-M brought in Haynes, defensive tackles Tré Williams and Damon Payne, offen- sive linemen Brady Norton and Law- rence Hattar, wide receivers Donaven McCulley and Anthony Simpson, line- backer Troy Bowles, defensive backs TJ and Tevis Metcalf, quarterback Mikey Keene, cornerback Caleb Anderson and long snapper Trent Middleton. On3 ranks the haul as the No. 10 group in the country behind Texas Tech, Ole Miss, LSU, Miami (Fla.), Oregon, Auburn, Rutgers, Kentucky and Virginia Tech. The On3 model accounts for the aggre- gate talent level of the players brought in versus what was lost. Six players departed Michigan via the portal before the spring game in Hall, cornerback Ja'Den McBurrows, wide receiver Amorion Walker, defensive lineman Alessandro Lorenzetti, line- backer Jason Hewlett and edge Aymeric Koumba. None were considered play- ers that would push for two-deep spots when fall camp begins in July. ❑ OFFENSE QUARTERBACK No. Player Ht. Wt.
