C O M A fter January's roster upheaval, a radically different Penn State foot- ball team has taken the field for the start of spring practice. On offense, that means the Nittany Lions must replace nine of the 11 players who started at least seven games last fall. What follows is a preliminary look at how the offensive depth chart is shaping up now that the Lions' offseason work- outs are underway. Quarterback DEPTH CHART Rocco Becht R-Sr. 6-1 209 Alex Manske R-Fr. 6-3 217 Connor Barry Sr. 6-1 206 Kase Evans Fr. 6-3 197 Peyton Falzone Fr. 6-5 214 SCOUTING REPORT Rocco Becht: During his three seasons as the starter at Iowa State, Becht proved to be a quick decision-maker and dan- gerous deep-ball passer. He's elusive in the pocket but is not a dynamic runner. Coach Matt Campbell compared him fa- vorably to former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley because of his clutch per- formances and ability to win games late. However, Becht must get healthy after two shoulder injuries last season.
