Senior Cat linebacker Prince Shembo acknowledged that dual-threat quarterbacks can alter Notre Dame's
defensive game plan, but he also noted that it often still comes down to good execution.

"It adds another element," senior Cat
linebacker Prince Shembo added. "You
know you've got to maybe change the
game plan up a little bit, but if you
change your whole game, then you're
not going to be yourself — and the next
thing you know you're on the ground."
The ability to find and execute that
happy medium on defense will be a
season-long challenge, and likely in the
future for the evolving spread or dualthreat quarterback offenses.
