football recruiting 35 player in the land, the No. 4 cornerback in the country and the No. 1 recruit in New Jersey. Jefferson, a 6-3, 215-pounder, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 23 player in country, the No. 2 outside linebacker in the land and the No. 3 prospect in Texas. One of the nation's premier running backs added an offer from Booker Oct. 11. Powder Springs, Ga., five-star allpurpose back Taj Griffin would be a great addition to Notre Dame running backs coach Tony Alford's current stable of backs. 247Sports ranks the 5-10, 175-pound recruit as the No. 21 prospect in the country, the No. 1 allpurpose back in the nation and the No. 3 player in Georgia. Tampa, Fla., four-star offensive tackle Jake Fruhmorgen was hoping to add an offer from Notre Dame dur- ing his June visit to South Bend. That didn't happen, but Alford offered him at his school Oct. 14. 247Sports ranks the 6-5, 280-pound prospect as the No. 61 recruit in the land, the No. 4 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 9 player in Florida. While it may seem like Notre Dame is still behind with only 44 offers out in the 2015 class, they are now near the same level as the elite programs such as Alabama and Florida. The Crimson Tide and Gators have each offered 60 junior prospects. Notre Dame has actually offered more recruits than schools like Georgia and USC, which have offered 36 and 39 football players respectively. Stanford, a program and university similar to Notre Dame, has only offered 22 recruits in the 2015 class. ✦ NOTRE DAME MAN CAVE MATs "Man Cave" ND Mats Available in four sizes!
