Ba ketball Preview 2013-14 ■ T.J. Warren 24 • F So. • Durham, N.C. • 6-8 • 215 Analysis: Warren had a reputation coming out of high school of being a good scorer, and he lived up to that scouting report last year. Now, with the loss of 1,000-point scorers Lorenzo Brown, Richard Howell, C.J. Leslie and Scott Wood, Warren will have to become the primary scorer for the Wolfpack. To that end, Warren has lost around 25 pounds to become more mobile and better conditioned for the larger role. A strong season may also be enough to boost Warren's NBA Draft prospect status. Career Highlights: Started 14 games and played in all 35 as a freshman … Named to the 2013 ACC All-Freshmen Team and twice voted ACC Rookie of the Week … Shot an ACC-best 62.2 percent from the field … Scored in double digits 24 times and tallied at least 20 points in five games … Averaged 14.7 points in three games at the ACC Tournament … Had career-high 31 points and 13 rebounds against Florida State, shooting 12 of 15 in the contest … Rated by Rivals.com as the No. 4 small forward and No. 17 player in the country in the 2012 class … Played in both the McDonald's All-American Game in Chicago and the Derby Classic in Louisville, Ky. … Played traveling team basketball with Garner Road. Coach's Corner: "I think he had a terrific offseason as far as how his body has become. I think he's ready to have a good year." — Head coach Mark Gottfried Personal: Warren's father is former NC State wing Tony Warren Sr., who averaged 9.3 points and 4.3 rebounds during his career with the Wolfpack (1976-79).
