"I could end up on the wing or be at the top of the key sometimes and set screens or go down low," Martin said. "It just depends on whatever player they call." Martin felt like committing to NC State happened just a few months ago. He hopes the next year goes by as fast. "I can't wait to go out there and play," Martin said. "I'm ready. I want to go hard and compete through this season, and then get ready for the next step." NC State could return every player on the roster except for fifth-year senior center Jordan Vandenberg. Alabama transfer Trevor Lacey, a shooting guard, will also be in the mix for NCSU next year. Martin is able to envision how he'll fit into what could be a veteran-laden squad. "It's easier to get a good idea because most of them are so young," Martin said. "When we hang around, we ask a ton of questions. They are giving us the right idea of how it is going to be when we get up there." The sleeker Martin has improved his strength and balance, and notices the difference when he drives to the basket. He also can guard stronger players on the defensive end and not got pushed around as much. "Before I got to Oak Hill, all I did was lift weights," Martin said. "I didn't run or anything, just when I was on the basketball court. The conditioning we have gone through is really good, and I ended up losing some fat. I've slimmed down some, but have gained more muscle." Oak Hill Academy is built for the running game with point guards Shelton Mitchell, a senior who is set to sign with Wake Forest, and junior Terrance Phillips. Virginia-bound wing B.J. Stith has played with the Martin twins on Team Loaded traveling team the last three years. "We are so long, and we'll see what Coach [Steve] Smith does with it," Martin said. "We are all getting the feel for what our games are." Martin has high expectations for what the Wolfpack could achieve once the class of 2014 arrives on campus. "I think we could go a really long way," Martin said. "We'll come together and play well as a team. Everybody on the team is pretty cool."
