Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks — Wilson may not have the gaudy passing statistics that seem to populate the NFL these days, but there is no questioning his crucial role in the Seahawks' 6-1 start. Although he ranks 22nd in the league in passing yards (1,489), the second-year professional leads all quarterbacks and ranks 21st overall with 323 rushing yards. He also ranks sixth in the league in passing yards per attempt (7.96), seventh in passer rating (97.2) and tied for 10th in touchdown throws (11). 4. Stephen Tulloch, LB, Detroit Lions — Since breaking into the league in 2006, Tulloch has been an iron man for the two clubs he has played for in the NFL. The star middle linebacker has never missed a game in his seven and a half professional seasons, but he did battle knee tendinitis last season. Although it didn't stop him for recording his fourth straight campaign with at least 100 tackles, it did affect him on the field. Tulloch has said he is fully healthy this year, and it shows. He is one of the main veteran leaders on a Lions squad that is off to a 4-3 start, and he is beginning to make game-changing plays, in addition to racking up the tackles. He is ranked 12th in the NFL with 58 stops on the year, while he has also tallied two sacks and defended two passes with one interception. 5. Steven Hauschka, K, Seattle Seahawks — Hauschka is one of the most productive kickers in the NFL. He is ranked third in the league with 67 points scored, just three behind the league leader, and his 94.1 percent success rate is eighth best. Hauschka is on pace for his best year as a professional and booted a 45-yard game winner in overtime to push the Seahawks to a 23‑20 win over the Houston Texans Sept. 29. ■ 3 ■ By The Numbers NC State is the only school in the country that boasts a trio of current NFL starting quarterbacks with the Chargers' Philip Rivers, the Seahawks' Russell Wilson and the Buccaneers' Mike Glennon. 13 Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka has made 13 of 14 field goal attempts from at least 30 yards out — the second best such total in the league. 14 Bills linebacker Manny Lawson set a career high when he notched 14 stops in a Sept. 22 game against the Jets. He has already eclipsed the 39 tackles he totaled in 16 games with Cincinnati last season. 15.2 Steelers wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery is averaging 15.2 yards per catch, which is ranked 33rd in the NFL and would stand as a new career best. 134 ■ the wolfpacker 132,134.Pack Pros.indd 134 10/22/13 2:38 PM
