They lose point guard Lindsey Moore, who's now playing in the WNBA, but the rest of the group is back, including leading scorer Jordan Hooper (17.9 points per game), and will be a force to be reckoned with. 2. Penn State 2012-13 Record: 26-6 overall, 14-2 Big Ten Head Coach: Coquese Washington Top Player: Senior guard Maggie Lucas Top Incoming Freshman: Forward Alex Harris Summary: The Nittany Lions are coming off one of the best seasons in program history, winning the Big Ten title and earning a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They're losing several experienced players, including three-time first-team All-Big Ten point guard Alex Bentley, but there is still plenty of talent on the team. Reigning Big Ten Player Of The Year Maggie Lucas (20.1 points per game) is back for her senior year, and Penn State is restocking its lineup with a loaded freshman class. 3. Michigan State 2012-13 Record: 25-9 overall, 10-6 Big Ten Head Coach: Suzy Merchant Top Player: Senior guard Klarissa Bell Top Incoming Freshman: Guard Tori Jankoska Summary: The Spartans return five of their top six players, including senior guard Klarissa Bell, who led the team in scoring (10.5 points per game) and set career highs in three-point makes (three) and assists (six) against Michigan last season. Michigan State was plagued by injury last season, but the core of that team, which tied for third in the Big Ten and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2013, is back.
