The team will play Virginia Tech in a home-and-home series, with a game in Ann Arbor Sept. 19, 2020, and a game in Blacksburg, Va., Sept. 11, 2021. Michigan has also announced a future series with UCLA that will include a home game (Sept. 10, 2022) and a game in the Rose Bowl (Sept. 9, 2023). At the Wolverines' 63-47 win over Indiana, the Wolverines also unveiled an interesting quirk for the 2014 schedule. During a Michigan bye week (Oct. 18, 2014), The Big House will host Slippery Rock for a game against rival Mercyhurst. Michigan Stadium public address announcers have read Slippery Rock scores during Michigan games for almost four decades. "We are extremely excited to play a game, once again, at The Big House," Slippery Rock athletics director Paul Lueken said in a statement. "This is a tremendous opportunity for our student-athletes, coaches, support groups and Rock football fans. I could not think of a better place to spend a fall Saturday afternoon, experiencing college football at the University of Michigan." Slippery Rock has played two games in Michigan Stadium before.
