Major: "Movement science." What He Wants To Do After Michigan: "My mom is a nurse practitioner, and I got the opportunity to go to the hospital with her a couple times. That was an atmosphere I could see myself in. I don't know what position I want to be, but I can see myself working in a hospital." His Overall U-M Experience: "I love it. Everything has been fantastic, from academics to athletics, it has been more than anything I expected, and those expectations were hard to top. I'm very happy with my team and coaches. We get along very well, and they're all so welcoming. It's been a really easy transition." — Andy Reid Maize And Blue Notebook International Success • A 2012 Summer Olympics participant and the NCAA 2011 and 2013 allaround national champion, senior Sam Mikulak took sixth place in the allaround competition and fourth place on high bar at the 2013 World Artistic Championships Oct. 3-6 in Antwerp, Belgium. Mikulak and his teammates, the reigning NCAA champions, will host an intrasquad meet Dec. 7. Michigan's Cliff Keen Arena will host the 2014 NCAA Championships April 10-12, marking the first time since 1971 U-M has hosted. A Day To Remember • On Oct. 20, the Michigan women's soccer team scored a 3-1 victory over Purdue, and the U-M field hockey squad rallied to beat Ohio State 2-1, making for a memorable Sunday afternoon. However, the highlights extended beyond the team accomplishments to a rare record-setting day for two individuals — seniors Nkem Ezurike and Rachael Mack. Playing in the earlier contest, Mack scored twice, including the overtime game winner, to achieve program records for career goals (69) and points (157). Later that day, Ezurike would go on to score a pair of markers to become the program's all-time leading goal scorer with 45.
