INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS MICHIGAN'S TOP OLYMPIC SPORTS PERFORMERS Men's soccer redshirt junior Tyler Arnone: The Hicksville, N.Y., native has been piling up the accolades since Michigan's season ended. In November, he was named to the All-Big Ten first team, becoming the fourth player in school history to earn all-league first-team honors in consecutive seasons, while he was also named the Big Ten Midfielder of the Year. On Dec. 10, Arnone was named to the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region first team. In 18 games, Arnone scored two goals and collected five assists. Women's soccer senior Meghan Toohey: Following a successful season for the Wolverines in which Michigan advanced to only its second NCAA quarterfinal in the program's existence, Toohey joined classmate Nkem Ezurike as an All-American. The Philadelphia native garnered second-team honors, making her and Ezurike the sixth and seventh players in school history to garner the national acclaim. Starting all 23 games in 2013, Toohey notched career highs in goals (six) and points (16). Men's swimming sophomore Dylan Bosch: Owning the nation's top 200-yard butterfly time with a Big Ten record-setting pace of 1:41.01 at the AT&T Winter National Championships Dec. 8, Bosch was named the conference's Swimmer of the Week Dec. 10 after leading U-M to the team title at the prestigious meet. The South African took first in the event and also placed third in the 200-yard individual medley (1:43.47) and 400-yard individual medley (3:45.31), while clocking ninth in the 100-yard butterfly (46.57). Field hockey senior Rachael Mack: A native of England, Mack made Michigan field hockey history in early December when she became its first four-time All-American. Mack was named to the first team this season after recording a career-high 21 goals and six assists to lead the Big Ten in points with 48. She was previously a secondteam All-American in 2011 and 2012 and a third-team selection in 2010. Mack holds U-M career records for goals (73) and points (166). Volleyball senior Molly Toon: The Middleton, Wis., native was one of three Wolverines — a program record — to garner All-North Region Team honors, joining classmate Jennifer Cross and junior Lexi Dannemiller. After some early struggles and a midseason slump, Toon recorded double-digit kills in 11 of her final 12 matches, including a team-best 16 in an NCAA first-round loss to LSU Dec. 6. Toon finished her senior year with career highs in kills (348) and digs (129).
