tomorrow and just preparing up until the bowl game. I know it's there, but it means nothing to me now." It is that team-focused attitude that won over his fellow Wolverines and earned him the MVP plaque. "He did a great job all season," fifthyear senior left tackle Taylor Lewan said. "He's tough, he's physical. He doesn't just catch the ball. He blocks his heart out. He gives everything he has. "I voted for him. I think he deserved to win." En route to his season numbers, Gallon tied a school record (currently shared with Edwards) by making at least one catch in 38 consecutive games. During his streak, the Apopka, Fla., native has caught at least three passes in 26 contests. Gallon also shattered a Michigan and Big Ten single-game record with his 369 yards receiving against Indiana Oct. 19. Roundtree held the previous mark for a Wolverine with 246 yards (Illinois, 2010) while Purdue's Chris Daniels had occupied the top slot in the conference with 301 yards (Michigan State, 1999). Daniels accrued his yardage total on 21 receptions, averaging 14.3 yards per catch, but Gallon did it on 14 grabs for a 26.4yard average. Though a four-star recruit in the class of 2009, Gallon was one of the Rich Rodriguez recruits expected to fade into the background with the arrival of Brady Hoke and the move to a pro-style offense. Instead, Gallon proved that with hard work, effort and a selfless attitude, one could accomplish quite a lot; he will enter the bowl game with 164 receptions (fourth all time at U-M), 2,615 yards (fourth all time) and 17 touchdowns (ninth). "The way he goes to work every day and the goals he has for the team … I can say I have never seen him, in the seasons I have been around him, be selfish," head coach Brady Hoke said. "He does everything for his teammates. How he blocks and does those things. We kid about it, but I love how he goes down the field and harasses guys in the secondary and cracks linebackers. "He'll do anything you ask him to do, if it's going to help out the team." ❑
