Awards Handed Out
At End-Of-Year Banquet
Senior wide receiver TJ Jones took
home the Monogram Club Most Valuable Player award at Notre Dame's
annual football banquet Dec. 13.
Jones called the honor "a team
award … and I'm the individual recipient" and was touched by a special
moment when his mother, Michele,
spoke of how proud TJ's late father,
Andre (a member of the 1988 national
championship team), would be of his
son.
Jones — who finished with 65 receptions for 1,042 yards and nine touchdowns during the regular season
— highlighted a group of 16 players
honored with awards at the banquet.
