BY ANDREW OWENS A "rejuvenated" Everett Golson practiced with Notre Dame March 3 for the first time since the university suspended him for a semester last May. During a 19-minute session with reporters, the junior signal-caller described how he changed as a person and a quarter- back during his time away from the program. "It feels great to be back with my teammates," Golson said. "It really feels good. … I think I was a little too excited at first. "Just everything I've been through and the training that I've had, I feel more mature and a more polished quarterback." While Notre Dame went 9-4 last fall, Golson said he improved "tre- mendously" during his training with quarterback guru George Whitfield Jr. in San Diego. "I regret [the suspension] in a sense, but I think it allowed me to grow so much," Golson said.
