UNDER THE DOME
THE BIG PICTURE
LAP IT UP
Notre Dame junior Emma Reaney set an American record in the 200-
yard breaststroke during the ACC Championships in late February. Reaney
shocked the swim community by destroying the conference and meet
records with a time of 2:04.34. She is the first Irish student-athlete in any
sport to set a national record while competing at Notre Dame. She went
on to win two other races at the meet, which earned her the league's
MVP award in Notre Dame's first ACC season.
