Fleener knew that his star receiver was going to enjoy himself during his trip to South Bend. He told Guyton that Notre Dame is a special place and to soak everything in on his visit. "He and his family visited Notre Dame during spring break, and the visit was great for everyone," Fleener said. "I asked him not to commit on his visit and to come home and think about things for a few days. I told him that he's going to want to pull the trig- ger, but it's better if he comes home and talks to his parents and family first and then if he still wants to be at Notre Dame, then he'll know that it's real. "He called me [March 30] and told me he was ready to commit to Notre Dame. He was really confident, ex- cited and ready. I couldn't be happier for him. "He's been to about eight or nine other places, but he's never talked about a school like he talks about Notre Dame. It's clear that he found the place that he wants to be at, and I don't see him looking anywhere else." During his next few trips to South Bend, Guyton plans on doing some re- cruiting of his own. At this time, there is only one guy that he is certain he will target. "Ryan Newsome," Guyton said of the Aledo, Texas, four-star wide re- ceiver.
