UNDER THE DOME Irish student-athletes excelling on the field and in the classroom Conor Doyle — Lacrosse The junior played the hero in Notre Dame's final regular- season game of the year, an 18-17 win over Army May 3. Doyle converted a turnover into the game-winning goal with 20 sec- onds remaining to complete a dramatic three-game winning streak for the Irish. He finished his third season at attack second on the team in points with 26 goals and 12 assists. Doyle's older brother, Jack, transferred from Harvard this season to finish his career playing for the Irish. Emilee Koerner — Softball Against Boston College May 3-4, the California native broke her own program record for doubles (22) in a season. She earned the final ACC Player of the Week award after going 10- for-13 with eight RBI and nine runs scored during a 4-0 stretch for the Irish. She hit .417 this season and was tied for the team lead with 57 runs scored. She entered the postseason with a 24-game on-base streak. Britney Sanders — Tennis Notre Dame's top singles competitor this year earned all- conference honors for the third season in a row. Sanders also accounted for one half of the team's best doubles pair for the 2014 season, along with sophomore partner Quin Gleason. She was Notre Dame's lone representative on the ACC's third team. She was a unanimous pick for the Big East Player of the Year in 2013 and made the all-conference squad in 2012. Greg Andrews — Tennis The senior capped his collegiate career as one of three Notre Dame men's players to make the All-ACC squad this spring. Andrews was the lone first-team selection. Teammates Quentin Monaghan and Ryan Bandy both made the third team. Andrews was Notre Dame's top singles player all year. During his sopho- more and junior seasons in the Big East, he was the conference player of the year and a Big East All-Academic team member. TOP OF THE CLASS
