FOOTBALL RECRUITING ROUNDUP Recruiting Notes • Notre Dame extended an offer to class of 2016 five-star quarterback Malik Henry April 22. The 6-3, 180-pound signal-caller from Thousand Oaks (Calif.) Westlake will make his first trip to South Bend June 20 for the Irish Invasion camp. This will be an opportunity for the Notre Dame coaching staff to separate themselves from the other schools that have offered him, such as Arizona State, Florida State, Nebraska, Tennessee, UCLA and USC. "The Notre Dame offer means a lot," Henry said. "[2014 Notre Dame quarterback target] Brandon Dawkins — I talked to him after his visit to Notre Dame, and I already had a lot of interest in them at the time. I love their football program. Their quarterback coach Matt LaFleur — who offered me — we have a good relationship." Per 247Sports, Henry is the No. 13 overall player in the 2016 class, the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the nation and the No. 1 prospect in California. • Notre Dame is the latest school to offer Salem (Utah) High four-star outside linebacker Porter Gus- tin. The 6-5, 225-pounder in the class of 2015 has an offer list that includes Arizona State, Boise State, Florida State, Oklahoma State, Stanford, UCLA, USC and others. Gustin is hoping to visit Notre Dame for the Irish Invasion camp June 20. "Notre Dame is a special place," Gustin said. "They have a lot of tradition and you can go there and get a great education and find a way into the NFL. They have it all. I'm really looking forward to visiting that campus." 247Sports ranks Gustin as the nation's No. 33 overall player in the 2015 class, the No. 4 outside line- backer in the country and the No. 1 prospect in Utah. • Las Vegas Bishop Gorman four-star wide receiver Cordell Broadus hasn't been to Notre Dame yet, but that is about to change. The 6-2, 195-pound recruit will be on campus for the Irish Invasion camp June 20 and is looking forward to spending time with the entire Notre Dame coaching staff. "I'm real close with the coaches up there," he said. "It's like they're all recruiting me hard. I've talked with [offensive coordinator] Mike Denbrock, [running backs coach] Tony Alford, [head] Coach [Brian] Kelly and some others. It'll be great just being around them and being able to see the campus and see what they're all about." 247Sports ranks Broadus as the nation's No. 64 overall player, the No. 6 wide receiver in the land and the No. 1 recruit in Nevada. — Tom Loy Follow @TomLoy247 on Twitter.
