His father, Gary Battle, said his son loved his June visit to Ann Arbor. "He was definitely excited about it," he said. "The style of play fits him, and from a culture perspective, that's a fit. He fits in a lot of different areas. He liked the vision they had for them, the coaches, the academics, and Coach Beilein's communication style is great." "I don't have an exact date I want to decide, just when- ever I fall in love with a school and know it's the right fit," Towns said. "I like a lot about Ann Arbor. It's a 'people- y' place. I love every- body and the play- ers. It's a really down-to-earth place, and I love winter. It's just fun to be at. I've been to two football games, and about four basketball games. The atmosphere and fans are unbeliev- able."
