BASKETBALL RECRUITING Other Class Of 2016 Players To Watch • Joshua Langford, 6-4, 185, SG, Madison (Ala.) Madison County: Rivals. com's No. 21 junior nationally holds offers from Florida, NC State, Tennessee and others, but he is extremely high on Michigan. He is the best player on a loaded Atlanta Celtics AAU squad. He's been slowed by injury, but he's back on the mend and eager to prove he's worthy of his lofty ranking. Michigan State and others are hot on his trail, but he really likes the Wolverines and will visit this August. He'll likely get an offer when he does, and that could move U-M even higher on his list. • Jamal Murray, 6-3, 180, PG, Kitchener, Ontario (Can.), Athlete Institute: Rivals.com's No. 18 junior nationally holds offers from Florida State, MSU, OSU, Illinois, Virginia and others. He visited for Michigan's game with Indiana in the winter and enjoyed himself, and he's planning a return trip at some point. U-M assistant Jeff Meyer has been following him for some time and is leading the charge on his recruitment. Murray is letting his parents and others handle re- cruiting for him, and he really isn't involved in the process. • Matthew Moyer, 6-7, 190, PF, Columbus (Ohio) Lincoln: Rivals.com's No. 90 junior nationally, Moyer holds offers from Wisconsin, Dayton, Virginia Tech, UNLV, USC and more. He visited for Michigan's game with Wisconsin in the win- ter and left extremely impressed. He's close with fellow 2016 target Seth Towns, and the two would like to play together in college. He grew up an Ohio State fan. Though he didn't receive his coveted Michigan offer, he still holds U-M in high esteem, and he's getting better and better. He believes UCLA, Arizona, Michigan and UConn are close to offering. He visited OSU this summer and expects to see Iowa and U-M again soon, though he's in no rush to commit. • Derek Funderburk, 6-9, 205, C, Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward: Rivals.com's No. 47 junior nationally holds offers from Ohio State, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Xavier and Clemson. He loves OSU, and has received an offer, admitting it was a big one for him, but he likes U-M, too. It may come down to a battle with Ohio State, and Michigan could have a shot at landing him if he continues to ramp up the interest — he has developed a relationship with Michigan coach LaVall Jordan. He expects a U-M offer if and when he visits, and believes Indiana is on the verge of offering. • Eron Gordon, 6-2, 170, SG, Indianapolis North Central: Rivals.com's No. 38 junior nationally holds offers from Indiana and Purdue, and he recently visited Michigan unofficially. There's been talk that the younger brother of former Hoo- sier great and current NBA player Eric Gordon will be hard to pry from Indiana, but Michigan has made an impression, and the family has close ties with U-M assistant Jeff Meyer. He'll remain one to watch this summer even if Michigan isn't the favorite. Kansas, Kentucky and UCLA have started recruiting him, as
