Before the first snap of the season, Virginia head football coach Mike London faces a challenge in replacing All-ACC offensive tackle Morgan Moses, who signed with the Wash- ington Redskins. Enter second-year Eric Smith. Smith started the last eight games of the 2013 season and played in nine of UVa's 12 contests. He was one of 12 true first-years to play for the Cavaliers in 2013. When he made his first collegiate start at right tackle against Ball State, he became only the fourth true first-year in program history to start at tackle.
