After a 34-year break from 1944-77, the two renewed their rivalry in 1978, with two-year breaks in 1983-84, 1995-96 and 2000-01. The Wolverines hold a 15-14-1 edge during that time. Those are two primary reasons why it has become one of the most sought after tickets in college football this season. According to an Aug. 26 update from Forbes magazine, the Notre Dame- Michigan showdown is No. 2 in the secondary market in 2014 with average ticket price and get-in price. It is also the only game in September with such high price demand. Here are the top five games: Rk. Game Ticket Prices* 1. Alabama-LSU $568.63/$242 2. Notre Dame-Michigan $502.05/$298 3. Ohio State-Michigan $475.31/$160 4. Oklahoma-Texas $418.86/$145 5. Alabama-Auburn $415.94/$243 * The first dollar figure represents the secondary average price and the second is the get-in price. WILL MAHONE WALKS ON AT YOUNGSTOWN STATE Former Notre Dame wide receiver Will Ma- hone has joined Football Championship Series Youngstown State's football team as a walk-on. The Ohio native redshirted in 2012 as a fresh- man running back and moved to slot receiver in 2013. He made two games appearances, but was slowed by injuries during training camp and again this spring. On June 14, Mahone was arrested by Aus- tintown, Ohio, authorities and later sentenced to 10 days in jail (served in July) after pleading guilty to four misdemeanors: resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, assault and aggravated men- acing. Among his actions were threats against police officers and head-butting one in the face.
