UNDER THE DOME THE BIG PICTURE THE HOUSE OF ROCK The former South Bend home of legendary Notre Dame head coach Knute Rockne (1918-30), who died in 1931, was recently put on the market for $500,000. His widow, Bonnie, resided there until her death in 1956, and family friends purchased it a year later. Only two other families have lived in the 4,180-square-foot, two-story, Tudor-style house since Rockne first purchased it. The double lot features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a tennis court.
