UNDER THE DOME
$2,000
Donated to the Notre Dame general scholarship fund through sophomore line-
backer Jaylon Smith, who for the second time in the first five games was named
the National Impact Player of the Week by the Lott Award. The first was following his week two per-
formance against Michigan in which he had 10 tackles in the 31-0 shutout. Then against Stanford on
Oct. 4, Smith had a career-high 14 tackles, including 2.5 for loss and a sack, in the 17-14 Irish win. A
$1,000 donation is made each time. Also after the Stanford game, sophomore cornerback Cole Luke
was named the Athlon National Defensive Player of the Week.
