PREP PROFILES Delaware (Ohio) Rutherford B. Hayes four-star outside linebacker Ethan Tucky has early offers from Bos- ton College, Eastern Michigan and To- ledo, but he's hoping to add an offer from Notre Dame sooner rather than later. The 6-2, 210-pounder is very much on the Irish radar, but the staff hasn't pulled the trigger on the class of 2016 target just yet. "I haven't got- ten an offer, but I'm hoping that I can get one after I complete my junior s e a s o n , " Tu c k y s a i d . " I ' v e r e - mained in contact with [Notre Dame d e f e n s i v e l i n e ] coach Mike Elston and he just tells me to keep working hard and it'll all work out in the end. "Having to wait doesn't bother me at all. It just makes me work that much harder. If they don't see me as a poten- tial offer yet, I'll just keep working. I'm going to keep my head held high and if I do what I need to do, I think the offer will come. I'm only a junior and there's plenty of time. If it's meant to be, it will be." Tucky was on hand for an unofficial visit to watch the Irish take on Stanford Oct. 4. It was his second trip to campus after first visiting in November of last year for the game against BYU. "It was absolutely crazy," Tucky said. "The student section was going wild the whole game, and you mix that with the band and the rest of the fans and it's a beautiful thing. It was a spectacular game and I was re- ally impressed with Notre Dame. "The defense was outstanding. The stopped the run all game long and had only the one let down at the end of the game. They shutdown Stan- ford's offense for the most part and they just looked faster than I've ever seen them. The whole team looks really good. I don't see them losing anytime soon." Ohio State is another school that Tucky is hoping to add an offer from. Many believe he is a lock to the Buck- eyes and he'll commit as soon as they offer, but Tucky says that's not the case. "Notre Dame is very much in the mix for me," he said. "I like them and Michi- gan State, Tennessee, Boston College and a few others. I'm far from a lock anywhere." — Tom Loy 2016 Ohio Linebacker Staying Patient With Notre Dame ETHAN TUCKY ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ Rutherford B. Hayes H.S.
