NOVEMBER 2014 ■ 127 ■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING Princeton (N.C.) High's Johnny Frasier is another four-star in-state running back. Rivals.com lists him as the No. 175 player in the nation regardless of position, the No. 20 running back in the country and the No. 7 player in the state. Frasier verbally committed to Florida State in August, but he also stated then that he would take visits to other colleges de- spite the pledge. He made an official visit to Tennessee Oct. 3, and he has unofficially been to two NC State games, as well as contests at Duke and Florida. The Noles also picked up a commitment from five-star running back Jacques Patrick from Timber Creek High in Orlando, fuel- ing speculation that Frasier would poten- tially decommit from FSU. The Pack has been trying to use the home-state factor to the product of small- town Princeton. "They think I'd be a great fit for them and want me to play there," Frasier said. "It is actually tempting to be near home. It's there always. You try not to think about it too much because you'll over-think it, but it's there, home versus away for college." In his first nine games this season, Fra- sier rushed 122 times for 1,448 yards and 20 touchdowns while adding 14 receptions for 180 yards and three scores. He rushed for 3,042 yards and 45 touchdowns on 248 carries, and added 25 receptions for 255 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games as a junior. The 5-11, 200-pounder had previously ran track at Princeton and was third as a sophomore in the 100-meter 1-A state finals with a time of 10.74 seconds.
