PREP PROFILES When you have more than 50 scholar- ship offers and you haven't completed your junior season, you're clearly do- ing something right. That's the case for Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore Catholic four-star offensive guard Parker Bou- dreaux. The 6-4, 282-pound recruit holds of- fers from Auburn, Arkansas, Alabama, Clemson, Miami, Penn State and many others. Notre Dame tossed its hat in the ring with an offer Sept. 21. "I was really ex- cited and really shocked," the class of 2016 prospect said. "They had a chance to check me out, review my film and my transcripts, a n d e v e r y t h i n g checked out. "Bishop Moore is like a smaller ver- sion of Notre Dame. We have the same colors and a lot of the same traditions, and we're both Catholic schools. I just think it's so much like where I'm at now. I like that it's such a prestigious school. I like that it's a private school, and I'll get a great education. "I talk to [offensive line coach Harry] Hiestand once a week, and I usually talk to [running backs coach Tony] Al- ford each week. I just really like those guys." Alford is the state of Florida recruiter for the Irish, and his approach has made a great impression on the talented ju- nior lineman. "I really like Coach Alford," Bou- dreaux said. "He's probably the most real coach I've ever talked to. He tells it like it is, he doesn't lie about any- thing and he is re- ally upfront about it all. I really like his style." With plenty of time until Bou- dreaux needs to make a final deci- sion, he states that there isn't one team leading at the mo- ment. He plans to start narrowing his list of schools down after his junior sea- son. "I'll name a top group in a few months," Boudreaux said. "After that, I want to take some visits and then I will take all five of my official visits. "Notre Dame will get one of those visits. I told Coach Alford that I'll def- initely make a trip there. Other than them, I'd say that Clemson and maybe Iowa are probably the only two that I'll definitely visit. Iowa has been coming after me really hard." — Tom Loy Academic Excellence Sets Irish Apart For Junior Lineman PARKER BOUDREAUX ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ Bishop Moore Catholic High School Orlando, Fla.
