FOOTBALL RECRUITING BY TOM LOY N otre Dame is sitting on 21 commits in the 2015 recruiting cycle. With the Irish coaching staff expected to add four additional prospects, the following are answers to the recruit- ing questions most Notre Dame fans are asking entering the first week in November. Which uncommitted players from the class of 2015 have the best chance of ending up at Notre Dame come National Signing Day in February? I like Notre Dame's chances with Anaheim (Calif.) Servite three-star wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, Plano (Texas) West four-star running back Soso Jamabo, Las Vegas Bishop Gorman four-star tight end Aliz'e Jones and San Diego St. Augustine four-star safety Frank Buncom IV. There are other players in the mix for the last few spots in Notre Dame's 2015 class, but at this time, these are the four most likely options that could choose to be Irish prior to National Signing Day in February. Per 247Sports, St. Brown is the No. 53 wide receiver in the country and the No. 55 prospect in California, while Jamabo is the No. 67 overall recruit nationally, the No. 3 running back in the land and the No. 10 pros- pect in Texas. Jones is the No. 132 overall player in the nation, the No. 1 tight end in the country and the No. 2 prospect in Nevada, while Buncom is the No. 116 recruit in the land, the No. 11 cor- nerback nationally and the No. 16 prospect in California. Do Equanimeous St. Brown and Soso Jamabo have a time frame for making a final decision and what's the latest with them? St. Brown, a 6-5, 205-pound pros- pect, maintains that he will make a decision closer to National Signing Day after taking at least four official visits. He's already taken two official visits, to Notre Dame and Utah, but he would like to visit USC and UCLA. The Irish are in good shape here, and he's still a top priority for this staff. However, the longer he waits, the less likely it is that he will end up in South Bend. Notre Dame is one of the nation's top programs, and there are many recruits trying to get on board with the Irish. The staff would like to add one more wide receiver and they won't turn away another big name if St. Brown takes too long. It continues to look like it's a Notre Dame-UCLA battle for Jamabo, a 6-3, 210-pound running back.
