Recruiting Notes Notre Dame has one commit in its 2016 class, from Cincinnati Elder four-star offensive tackle Tommy Kraemer. The staff made a move to add to that number in October when they extended new offers out to four top junior targets. The highest-rated recruit offered was North Ridgeville (Ohio) High four-star running back Demario McCall, who picked up an offer Oct. 3. The 5-11, 180-pound prospect holds offers from the Irish, Ohio State, Michigan State, Tennessee and many others. Many believe that McCall's recruitment will come down to a close battle between Notre Dame and Ohio State. Per 247Sports, McCall is the No. 26 overall player in the country, the No. 3 running back nationally and the No. 2 prospect in Ohio from the class of 2016. Wyandotte (Mich.) Detroit Martin Luther King four-star wide receiver Donnie Corley added an offer from the Irish Oct. 11, when he visited campus for the Notre Dame-UNC game. The 6-2, 180-pounder holds offers from LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Wisconsin and others. The Spartans are the favorite for the talented pass catcher, but Notre Dame is very much in the mix and will be a threat to land him. Per 247Sports, Corley is the nation's No. 117 overall prospect, the No. 23 wide receiver in the country and the No. 2 recruit in Michigan in the junior class. Atlanta Westlake High School four-star safety Nigel Warrior picked up offer No. 15 from Notre Dame Oct. 24. The 6-1, 185-pounder has an impressive offer list that includes Cincinnati, Georgia, Michigan State, Ohio State and Tennessee. Warrior is the son of former Tennessee star Dale Carter. However, many believe that Georgia, Notre Dame and Ohio State are also major players in this recruitment along with the Volunteers. Per 247Sports, Warrior is the No. 157 overall player in the country, the No. 7 safety in the nation and the No. 15 prospect in Georgia from the class of 2016. Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage three-star wide receiver Dredrick Snelson's latest offer came from the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame extended an offer to the University of Miami commit Oct. 10. Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee and many others have also offered the 6-1, 190-pounder. Per 247Sports, Snelson is the No. 54 wide receiver in the country and the No. 37 prospect in Florida from the class of 2016. — Tom Loy Follow @TomLoy247 on Twitter for daily recruiting updates available on BlueandGold.com.
