IRISH IN THE PROS
than ever and am always ready to go."
Viewed as an ideal defensive end in
the 3-4 system, Tuitt said the playbook
was intimidating at first but that his
experiences with legendary Steelers
defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau
have been excellent.
"It's awesome," he said. "The de-
fense is really cool. At first it was
crazy because there was so much
stuff to figure out at one time, but
it's really cool now that I know the
defense and basically I know how to
play within [the system] or change it
up like I did at Notre Dame.
"At Notre Dame you had to focus
on school. You didn't have as much
time because you were so busy with
football and school. Sometimes you
just have to figure out how to balance
it, but once you get that down it's awe-
some."
In his rookie season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tuitt has played in each of the team's first 10 games
and recorded five tackles.
