IRISH IN THE PROS NFL NOTES Through Nov. 13 • Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told reporters it is possible that former Notre Dame tight end Tyler Eifert (2009‑12) does not return to the field this season. He has been out since week three with a dislocated elbow and is currently on injured reserve designated to return. • Arizona Cardinals rookie tight end Troy Niklas (2011‑13) caught his second pass of the season in a 31‑14 win over the St. Louis Rams Nov. 9. Niklas, one of four former Irish players on Arizona's of‑ fense, has two catches for 33 yards in six games this season. • Detroit Lions running back Theo Riddick caught the game‑winning touchdown pass with 29 sec‑ onds remaining in a 20‑16 win over the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 9. He has now caught 15 passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns in his second season in the NFL. • Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph (2008‑10) is on injured reserve designated to re‑ turn after hernia surgery following week three, but he was expected to return to game action in week 11. • Through nine games, Detroit Lions wide re‑ ceiver Golden Tate (2007‑09) had 66 catches for 909 yards and three touchdowns while helping the team to a 7‑2 record despite an injury keeping All‑Pro receiver Calvin Johnson sidelined for three contests. • Defensive end Justin Tuck (2001‑04) was one of the lone bright spots on the Oakland Raiders' defense in a 41‑17 loss to the Denver Broncos on Nov. 9.
