UNDER THE DOME
THE BIG PICTURE
LIVING LEGEND
Former Irish star Paul Hornung, the 1956 Heisman Trophy winner, as-
sisted in the coin toss for the Louisville-Notre Dame game Nov. 22. The
Louisville native rode a bus from Kentucky to the game and then back
home afterwards. He is a longtime Louisville fan, but said he was rooting
for his alma mater. The Irish finished 2-8 in 1956, making Hornung the only
player ever to win the prestigious trophy for a team with a losing record.
